Night of the Verdant Miracle
Preparation - December 24th
Zodiac: Each night, we will explore a zodiac symbol. Tonight, we hold the archetype of the Divine Mother.
Month: Each night, we will seed prayers for the 12 months of the year to come. Tonight, we hold the whole year in our awareness as we prepare.
Siddhi: Each night, we will hold the high-frequency essence of a particular Key. Tonight, we hold Gene Key 35 – Boundlessness.
Theme: Quieting the mind, releasing the old year and opening the soul to the boundless miracle of the 12 Holy Nights. Here we contemplate the year as a seed of brilliant possibility.
Practice: Place a special object on your altar. Visualise it radiating in all directions, touching every part of your life. Let your imagination roam freely over the coming year, sensing endless possibilities. Prepare your journal with 12 empty pages or sections.
Journal: How can I approach the year with openness, embracing the infinite potential in myself and the world?
Optional Wild Pagan Rite: Mark this night as Mother Night (Modraniht), the ancient eve of Yule. Light a hearth fire or candle in honour of the Earth Mother and the ancestral mothers. Offer bread, milk or mead to the spirits who watch over your home. Speak gratitude to your lineage and invite their wisdom to guide you through the 12 nights.
Aligned Ancestral Deities and Spirits
The 12 Wild and Holy Nights have powerful pagan origins. Below are examples of some of the old Northern and Middle Eastern deities matched to the themes of each night. You can sound or write these names or any other ancient gods or goddesses local to your area.
