Musicians in the Venus – what is this about?

Whenever I have gone through the Venus sequence – both alone and in the community retreats, the same thing has happened. The path to my deepest core wounding has been paved out, not directly through relationship to people in my life, but through my relationship to music and my identity as a musician.

With my attraction sphere as the 20 and my core wound the 50 (Harmony), this is perhaps not surprising.

At first I thought I was doing something wrong. But I slowly came to understand that, no, this Venus path (to my deepest wounding) is played out, first and foremost, through my identity as a musician.

I have no idea if this is something anyone else has experienced, but, a deep feeling arose to offer a space within this retreat for anyone with whom this may also resonate.

Not of course, that our core relationships don’t play a role. But more that the wounding patterns laid down in childhood so often will arise within our musical life. And if you have traveled the path of a professional musician, you’ll most likely know what I mean.

Just to clarify what I mean by ‘professional musician’?

Not that you are making money (many of us don’t these days). But rather, that music has been the single most powerful element in your life from early on.
Most likely you started playing in early childhood and basic ‘ego’ patterns may have become intermixed with your identity as a ‘musician’.
Perhaps it became a way of receiving missing parental love, perhaps this was the only area in your life where you had some kind of value.

Music will have taken you to the highest highs, and most likely also the deepest lows.
You may have experienced times of great productivity, then great deserts of nothing-ness.
You may have experienced great success, or great failure, pride, hopelessness, jealousy, judgement (both inner and outer), rejection, shame, anger, fear, guilt, joy, ecstasy and what can only be described as a direct experience of God.

Suffice it to say, music will have been a thread strung between all the most essential moments of your life.

And most likely music will, above all, have taken you to the most vulnerable sensitive wounded parts of your being.

What format will this adjunct group take?

This group is planned to be intimate in number (maximum 7) and will meet once a month for 1 and half hours of sharing around the current Venus contemplation sphere.
In the session, there will be a short attunement, followed by a gentle reminder of the Gene Keys values.
Then, one by one, we will have the chance to share what is coming up, with a soft focus on our lives as musicians as we move through the different spheres of the Venus.

What will this cost?

There is no charge for this sharing group. However, to be accepted please write and let me know a little about your inner journey as a musician.

Who am I?

My name is Tanmayo (another Tanmayo)  – a musician, film maker and artist. I’m also a disciple of Osho, a life long meditator and Gene Keys guide. And on the wiggly path that has been my life, I’ve found that following my  own creative impulses  has taken me again and again to the deepest parts of myself. The most divine, and also the most wounded.

I’ve been blessed to dive deeply into many creative fields but have also faced long periods of creative ‘drought’, doubt and darkness.

But in all these moments of creative unknown I have always been led forwards again  –  again and again and again. I have found new doors to open; new threads to follow; deeper wells of creative waters. And I know now, that however painful moments on this path may be, with patience, kindness and a good dose of Gene Key magic, there’s
always a way forwards.
