We are the Horse. Our people are ancient and strong. For as long as human memory we have been bound up with your ways, serving you, sometimes through the yoke, and sometimes as the friend. In the before-time, we were always free. Great herds of our people freely gathered and ran together across the plains. Always in our hearts, each one of us carries the longing for the return of this dream. It is why we run. You have called us into your dreams now. For you share this same dream of freedom and return. The power we can carry together is more than when we can carry alone. My people are a bridge for you to work with all animals, and to work with all humans. I also carry a great prophecy of change. You need to clear your slate now. A revolution is coming. Your energies are needed to serve this revolution alongside all creatures. Even though it may seem that all is lost, your fight is needed now. Find a fight, a cause, one that stirs you like no other, and pour your heart into this cause. Cast aside your human concerns and fight for the great and the good and for justice and truth. We horses are great Leapers. The horse can be solar and lunar. One of the most enduring myths concerns the white horse, which is seen as a sacred symbol by many cultures.
China – The Cosmic Cloud Horse is an avatar of the goddess Kwan Yin.
Greek – Stallions pulled both Apollo’s and Nyx’s (Night) chariot across the sky. Stories of centaurs (half horse and half men) also abound in Greek mythology as well as the myth of Pegasus, the winged horse.
Celtic – The goddess Epona was the centre of the large horse cult in ancient Britain and Gaul.
Norse – In Teutonic myth the horse is sacred to Odin whose eight-legged mare Sleipnir was invincible.
