Visual Art, I Ching Oracle Cards & Readings

I came to the Gene Keys by way of art, economics, movement, and the I Ching.

I spent nine years training as a visual artist before earning a master’s degree in economics and public policy. I loved statistics, econometrics, and understanding how complex systems work. Yet, despite all that education, I found myself looking for a different kind of map, one that could help make sense of lived experience as well as ideas.

That search led me to UZAZU, a movement practice rooted in the I Ching. Through movement, the I Ching came alive for me as an elegant language of patterns and change. Human Design followed, and eventually the Gene Keys, which brought a contemplative depth and a language that resonated with my own experience of the 64 hexagrams.

As a visual artist, my response was simply to make things. Together with my co-author, Svetlana Pritzker, I created two oracle card decks based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, combining original artwork, poetry, and symbolism as another way of engaging with these timeless patterns. The first, Infinite Flow: Riding the Waves of the I Ching, presents the hexagrams as empowered feminine archetypes through abstract artwork and poetry. The second, Brave and Unstoppable: Soul Voyage with the I Ching Tricksters, explores the 64 fears, each revealing the gift hidden within it. A third deck, integrating wisdom of the heart and trust in contemplation will be ready soon.
