Gene Keys & Dream Arc Enthusiast - Child-centred lens

A large part of my life’s work has been with children and adolescents, in support of their unique spark and creative expression. This began in my 20s via a love of the Performing Arts and teaching drama and dance in secondary schools. I am also a mother of two, now grown young women, who are wise and sensitive gifts to the world.

A highlight of my working life was being part of the process of founding two alternative democratic ‘village’ schools in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, and co-creating new educational models and curriculum for early years and primary aged children.

As a child-centred consultant and educator, I continue to support children, their families and school communities with social and emotional learning and connection, via the path of harmony through daily struggles and conflicts. My educational passion is co-creating connection and experiences of embodied empathy and shared decision making that empower the voice of the child. I work for the benefit of children, with the adults and the relationship dynamics within their systems of care, using the modalities of symbol work and expressive therapies. Empowering children is my vocation, and I am very interested to learn more about the new Universal Love Curriculum with The Dream Arc.

In addition to my formal study and work, I have had the pleasure of exploring many paths that have supported me to stay true to practicing presence in each new day. While being mother of two young daughters, I began a 15-year journey along the path of meditation and contemplation including, ‘The New Thoughtform Presentation of Ageless Wisdom’ by Lucille Cedercrans, and the Buddhist path of inner refuge. My recent journey with the Gene Keys has enabled deep integration of many of the learning experiences in my life thus far, and an ever-growing embodiment of the ‘gentle wind.’ I am so very grateful for the experience of this synthesis supporting the simple application of intuitive wisdom in my work, daily life, and relationships.

My Values:
• Authenticity of connection, congruence & genuineness.
• Heart centred & child-centred approach.
• Working in a relational field of guidance, rather than being an expert in the field.
• Holding a protected space for freedom of expression, that protects a person’s flow, without leading, interpreting, advice, or cross talk.
• Commitment to the cycle of rupture & repair.
• Fostering a ‘village mindset’.
• Reliable, sustainable, mindful, and responsive practice that holds quality over quantity.
