Technical Operations Coordinator - position available

Role Summary

Looking to hire a Technical Operations Coordinator to help manage the website and information technology systems of our organization. This role would be the primary link between our existing Web & App Developers, our DevOps IT & Cyber Security team, Customer Support Team, and System Administration.

  • 20-35 hours per week
  • Remote working
  • Flexible work schedule, though some evening UK meeting times needed to match up with our global team

This role would include...

  • Working with our existing teams in regard to technology & operations

  • Webmaster responsibilities for the WordPress Website & learning the different technology platforms

  • Coordination with our vCTO (DevOps & Cybersecurity), WordPress & App Developers, and our Support Team lead

  • Interfacing with the following technologies

    • WordPress Website

    • Custom PHP & NodeJS platforms

    • Business Intelligence platform custom designed by our developer Adam for custom analytics

    • Various third party platforms used for project management, security, cloud storage, and communication as listed below

  • Handling support tickets, bugs in the system, and helping with emergency website issues (with the assistance of our other developers and administrators)

  • Training / Keeping our customer support team informed of changes to website / technology

  • Learning how the infrastructure of our various technology platforms work, to help with general maintenance & upkeep

  • Updating our technical documentation, creating tutorials/FAQs to train other teammates, and maintaining our company intranet wordpress site

Development & Coding Tech we use...

Your role does not require you to know all of these programming languages yourself, but we want to share the different types of code we use for reference. If you are familiar with some or all of these programming languages, this is a bonus!

  • WordPress

    • CSS style edits

    • Plugins and interactions with PHP / JS

  • React & JS/CSS for Website App Development

    • Deployment via cooperation with Nero Consulting

  • React-Native & JS/CSS for Native App Development

    • Deployments via Expo.dev

  • Python for Data Engineering, Dashboard Design & API Code

    • Pandas, scikit-learn, Dash, Plotly

  • SQL for querying/transforming/putting data out of / into PostgreSQL

    • We work with indexes, stored procedures, and materialized views

  • Bash scripting, for uploading and updating cloud function & automation

Qualities we are looking for...

  • Analytical experience for debugging and managing support tickets across multiple teams and technology platforms.

  • Good management, relational communication skills to help manage across different types of teams, working styles, and identify the different levels of support needed for each ticket

  • Experience with global online work environment (zoom meetings, Asana & Slack communication, dancing with time zones)

  • Able to work with the tools / designs we already have while also suggesting any new improvements

  • Optional

    • Interest in contemplation, spiritual growth, mindfulness, and/or archetypes is a plus!

    • Interest in learning more about the Gene Keys teachings and our unique approach to business (https://genekeys.com/vision)

    • Experience with the Gene Keys is a plus, but not required.

Example tasks...

  • Coordinating QA Tests & managing monthly wordpress upgrades with DevOps team

  • Researching bugs, plugin conflicts, shop errors, and other technical support tickets – coordinating with the plugin developers and our own DevOps team to find the best way to solve the issue and whom is needed to implement the solution

  • Work closely with Rielle, our Systems Administrator, to review technical issues with people’s wordpress accounts, troubleshoot team login issues, woocommerce shop orders, unforseen interactions with new features, etc.

  • Understand the web architecture used between woocommerce products & Memberships, LearnDash courses, Buddyboss Groups, Posts & Galleries, Fluent Forms & CRM Automations to help maintain, debug, and implement edits coordinated by the creative team

  • Maintain and update the team intranet website (a separate wordpress website, with simpler plugin stack)

  • Review updates across different platforms we use as a team, to help inform us of necessary changes or improvements

  • Create tutorials for team members & update Support Team of upcoming technical changes. Attend Support Meetings to find ways to support bridge between customer support & systems administration.
