We are Dog. We encircle you, humanity. We are your sacred protectors. Coming in a myriad forms, our intelligence has entered more deeply into your lives perhaps than any other mammal. We also are a sacrificial animal, for we hold a great deal of your ancestral pain in our hearts. It is because of this that we serve you so loyally. We are a reminder of the power of family, and alongside family, forgiveness. We entrust you therefore with a sacred task now: Go out into your family and find the outcast members. This may even be you. In the great family, there are no outcasts, only misunderstandings. Your sacred task is to address the wound within your own family. Perhaps you find this wound to be beyond repair? All wounds can be healed in time. You may need to try a new approach. How would deep forgiveness approach this situation, this relationship?
