Welcome to our Equinox Community Gathering. At this time, when the sun’s light falls equally upon the Northern and Southern hemispheres, we come to gather from around the world.
Hosted by Rosy Aronson, Tanmayo Lawson and Matthew Ashdown, this gathering is a celebration for our whole community. On this page you can find out about the amazing contributors who are making this event possible.
You will receive transmissions from our resident Wisdom Keepers, as well as music and poetry from contributing members of the Gene Keys and Dream Arc community.
Wisdom Keepers
SHANNON LEE is the Chair of the Bruce Lee Foundation, the CEO and Owner of the Bruce Lee Family Companies and the daughter of martial artist and cultural icon, Bruce Lee. Shannon’s overall mission is to provide access to her family’s wisdom and practices through education and entertainment and be a cause of healing and unity in the world. Shannon also hosts the Bruce Lee Podcast and executive produces the series Warrior now streaming on Netflix. Her first book, Be Water, My Friend, offers insight into how to use her father’s philosophies toward a more fluid, peaceful and fulfilling life.
JHAIMY ALVAREZ-ACOSTA is a Traditional Curandero (Healer) from Cusco, Peru who has been trained and initiated in the Wisdom Teachings of the Andes. Jhaimy began his initiation onto this path at a young age as an apprentice to his Traditional Elders and has now walked the committed path of a Wisdomkeeper for over 25 years.
Although Jhaimy will not be able to join us live, we will be airing an exclusive video transmission from him, filmed while he travels Peru.
Musicians & Poets
Shay Nichols is a recording artist, sound healer, teacher, and dedicated listener of the natural world. A graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies Voice/Sound Healing program and Open Ear Center, Shay developed her own voice work based on principles of sound healing and vocal improvisation. She excels at helping people discover and experience the power and wild versatility of their own voices. She teaches Sounding the Soul and Tuning into Nature workshops, helping people explore spontaneous song and soundscape creation in community.h
Ryan Powell was indoctrinated at birth into a lifetime love of Irish music by his father John who sang him the old ballads in his deep voice whenever he had the chance and a captive audience. Ryan took up guitar and whistle at a young age and began to play ballads after his first visit to Ireland as a young teenager in 1986. During the early 1990’s, Ryan lived in Ireland for 6 months and busked the streets of Galway and Dublin while studying James Joyce with Senator David Norris and absorbing the rich culture and music of the east and west of the country.
Phil lives on Vancouver Island and works as a gardener and handyman, and a facilitator of somatic inquiry. In his spare time he builds Earth shrines, is an animist poet and story writer, and likes to create nature art. He has been pushed by fear for much of his life, but now likes the idea of being pulled by the vision of a future where children don’t have to carry any wounds and can happily play in a world he believes was created to be a playground for all sorts of cosmic beings. Universal Timing
At the time of this event the Sun sits in the 25th Gene Key, which moves from Constriction to Universal Love, and is the pathway of Acceptance. The creatures associated with the 25th Gene Key are the Salmon (Fear Key), Lion (Life Key) and Flamingo (Vision Key). May they offer us some guiding wisdom as we come together.
