For all community conversation, we ask our users to follow the values of the Gene Keys approach, and honor one another with respect and courtesy. However, if any conflict or inappropriate behavior emerges between users, we do have moderation tools to support a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Report an Activity Post for Moderation
Beneath every activity feed post you will see a button to Report a post to our site moderators. If you feel an activity post is inappropriate or needs to be flagged for moderation / review, please click this Report button.
This will not automatically delete the post, but it will bring it to the attention of our moderators and site administrators. If 5 people flag the same post as inappropriate, the post will automatically be hidden from view until it has been reviewed.
Ignore / Block User
If you feel you need or want to ignore another user’s posts you may select the “Ignore” button on a user’s profile page. You will be asked to confirm you wish to block this user.
By using the Ignore / Block user function, you will no longer be able to:
- See blocked member’s posts
- Mention this member in posts
- Invite this member to groups
- Message this member
- Add this member as a connection
Please note: This action will also remove this member from your connections and send a report to the site admin. Please allow a few minutes for this process to complete.
Unblocking a user
If you would like to unblock a user you previously blocked, you may do so from your Profile Dropdown menu –> Account Settings –> Blocked members.
